It is the continuing goal of the Hidalgo County Bar Association (HCBA) to provide South Texas lawyers with a selection of quality local, live continuing legal education programs.  Each year the HCBA hosts a Court Created Trust and Ad Litem Certification Seminar, a Criminal Law Conference, an Advanced Civil Trial Law Seminar, and a specialty or hybrid seminar.  On odd years, the HCBA hosts a Federal Practice Seminar and Attorney Work Shop in corroboration with our Federal Courts.  In addition to our live programs, the HCBA in conjunction with our various law sections, holds semi-monthly breakfast and lunch meetings offering one hour of free CLE to the participants.  Finally, the HCBA provides local attorneys with “custom” CLE in conjunction with the State Bar of Texas.
